Bridge of Don Academy and Oldmachar Academy are 2 academies in Aberdeen that cater for around 700 pupils between the ages of 12-18, each staffed by around 60 teachers and pupil helpers. They are state schools so anybody within the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire area can attend. They offer a wide range of courses including courses which college lecturers will come in and teach. It includes a MICAS base for autistic pupils, and an ASN base for any other pupils that require additional support.These schools are a new addition to the Global Classroom Partnership, Oldmachar was initiated into the partnership in 2010 and Bridge of Don in 2011.
